A little about me...
Where I grew up
I grew up on a farm outside of Scranton, Iowa. I spent a lot of time outdoors playing with my cats (my favorite was our three-legged cat), in the fields riding in the combine with my dad, playing games on the computer, and eating a lot of sweet corn. 🌽
What I used to do
In high school, I worked as an errand girl for the local law firm, and I’ve never organized so many files in my life. It was a fun job.
I got my BA in Psychology at Iowa State because the human mind and behavior fascinate me. I worked at a preschool for a bit, so I’ve had many names: Ms. Jile, Ms. Wora, Ms. Lordy, and Ms. Birdy, to name a few. Kids are fun. 🙂🙃
But you can call me Lora or Loralee. 😉

What I’m up to now
Today, I’m a graduate student at Iowa State University pursuing my MS in Human Computer Interaction with a focus on user experience and graphic design. I am looking for a UX design position.
I love UX Design because I’m interested in users' behavior and needs; it also lets my creativity shine. ✨ I appreciate how it combines my passions for psychology and creative expression. I love that UX design challenges me to think differently, offering many approaches to problems.

Where I’m at today
I live in Ames, Iowa, and when I’m not working on schoolwork, you can find me playing pickleball, drawing on my iPad, taking pictures, drinking coffee and reading, driving the gator around on the farm, watching old movies, and traveling around Europe.

What I’m looking for
I’m looking for a UX Design position that offers meaningful and impactful work alongside a team of talented and diverse people.

Traveling to Belgium
I enjoy creating patterns inspired by the places I've visited, the foods I've tried, and the experiences I've had.
